    Letterpress and cinephile heaven!

This film is about an incredible archive of letterpress blocks and plates used to make press adverts for films. It's a technology that was redundant by the 1980s but somehow this collection survived, and was eventually bought by a couple of collectors for a relatively small sum. They've spent the last 16 years cleaning and recording all 60,000 plates & blocks (there's an incomplete list of the 12,000+ films here). The archive was valued at $812 million, but forget the money: this is just a beautiful film about a beautiful art form in support of another beautiful art form. Heaven!
